Roadmap

What comes next

One module is live. The rest are designed and sourced but not built. Each will follow the same rules: public data, definitions fixed first, and an independent recomputation of the figures.

  • Federal space demand

Every unclassified contract action reported to FPDS (the Federal Procurement Data System) under the space codes studied.

    Live
  • Private capital

Securities and Exchange Commission filings (Form D and periodic reports) and Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer award records, to measure private and early stage public financing alongside federal demand.

    Planned
  • Workforce

Bureau of Labor Statistics occupational wage data and the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages, to measure employment and wages in space related industries and occupations.

    Planned
  • Trade

Census Bureau trade data for spacecraft, satellites and launch vehicles (Harmonized System heading 8802) and the international services accounts, to measure cross border demand.

    Planned
  • International procurement

Public procurement and contract notices from the European Space Agency, the UK Space Agency and the Indian Space Research Organisation where they are published.

    Planned
  • Metric evaluation registry

A public register of every metric, its definition, its tests against known events and its revision history, so users can judge each measure before relying on it.

    Planned

Planned means designed and sourced, not released. No figure from a planned module appears anywhere on this site.
